My plan A was to mod an SSB or BSM N/A with cedar interior and manual to SRT power levels. Couldn't see a way clear to make our box strong enough or get a modded MB engine to work with a non MB gearbox for daily street driving. The better half wanted a slushbox and thought a modded car would not be suitable in a regular driver role.
Am not crazy about the perma wing either but given the rarity of the car I am not eager to make irreversible changes to mine. Not that I feel like the car's curator or caretaker for the next owner or anything. Just focusing my mods on giving it a more complete look and feel whilst keeping it suitable for my daily commute.
OK I have a 1/18 scale SSB coup model in a clear plastic show case that I am willing to part with. I spent $30 for the car and $10 for the case, so I am looking for $50 OBO. I will take some pics of it, All of the doors , the hood and the trunk (the bonnet and the boot for those in the UK) open, and it is quite detailed.
I bought it with intentions of painting it and chopping it down to a cusom Blue Roadster, then I realised that I need 1/24 scale for what I was planning, and I decided it would be too much work.
This is a nice model in excellent condition, and you have a SSB Coupe, this is a great model for you. PM me if you are interested.

Those are some nice pics !!
I see you have some shorty eyebrows from Squirrel Crusher.
They look better than I thought they would.
Very nice.
Hope to be putting together a Chi-town GTG sometime in June.
Maybe you can join us.

Thanks for the compliment, I would love to meet up for a gtg. I really like the look of the shorty's and preferred them to the others he offered. They turned out great and I think they look even better in person.
I'll be taking some better more scenic pics when I have a chance soon and I wont be using a cell phone for pics haha

Today I hit 70,000 miles on my Crossfire.
Bought it in April 2007 with only 17,200 miles on it.
Still have never needed a repair and have done all my own maintenance.
Took a few pics tonight

Hey. You people doing burnouts and have no line locks. What ever happened to the "old visegrip on the rear brake flex line trick that us poor people used to use". Lorne

My SSB doing a little tire smoking at the track. It wasn't my best run, but I'll take 11.8's any day! I love the comments the guy said about my car and beating the low 12 second Chevelle SS felt good... LOL!

Haven't been on here for awhile...but need some quick prayers for my 2 month old Grandson Jacob who is in the hospital. Many serious tests are being run and we are hoping to have results with a positive outlook...I love the little boy !
