Funny you guys should mention Moncton NB, Canada. My mother's side of the family had many relatives in the Shediac and St John's area near Moncton I use to travel up there for numerous summers when I was in elementary school back in the 50's. MY grandfather was Max Babineau and my grandmother's maiden name was Breau. I use to spend a good part of my summer vacation with my grandparents traveling through that area, and working on my mother's Uncle Leo's farm. Great times were had back then.

I lived in Spokane for a while wile I was in the Air Force, I have many great memories of that town. My girl lived on West Alice Ave. Funny how you remember certain things, she had two of them that were memorable.

 

Bob, my grandparents were from Moncton, grandfather's name was Dion. I can recall doing the same thing, as a child, on the farm. I recall the 4 hole indoor/outdoor privy and the gardens and the animals. My fondness for walking to the store and buying candy for a nickel and getting a whole bagfull. We would stop and watch the water flow on eithe side of the dirt road and those water gliders, I think they are called, like spiders swimming on top of the water.

After I figured out how much it snowed in Ohio I'm not too sure that there's even a point to spend $1,500 to ship my crossfire down there till next year. If that's the case, then no Fall Dragon Meet for me.

Actually, I was pretty excited to finally get out of Spokane but after seeing Andrew's pics of the snow storm in Ohio, I'm starting to have doubts.....
