I have talked to 3 maybe 4 Porsche owners at various times and all seemed like snobbish ******. I appreciate the cars but, I eliminated the Boxster from consideration early in my search because I didn't think I could be a PORSCHE GUY. Maybe it's not right to base an opinion on 3 or 4 people but, I kinda did and I have no regrets.

Interesting observation.
I went to a small Datsun/Nissan Z car club GTG at a local Nissan dealer in Mentor Ohio Saturday morning, (only about 20 or so cars showed up, but all were quite nice. Some really beautiful 240/260 and 280 Z's. (Didn't see even one 280 ZX model).
Maybe it was just me, but I was rather surprised at the rather snobbish attitude displayed by more than a few of the club's members.
I mean it was like they were driving Lambo's or somethin.
I really like the 1st. edition Z cars, I'm even OK with the car's that have a small block Chevy V8 conversion.
But I left the show with less than a "warm and fuzzy feeling" for some of the Z car owners.

The Porsche Club puts on the Cars and Coffey here in Lexington ,I must say it took a few times going, to get to know them ,but all and all really nice guys , even a few could tell me about my Crossfire , which tells me that there are few of them that are all round car guys , Now that being said , I have been in few car shows where nobody would give you the time day, real car guys will talk and posers will not that what I get out of it.

I went to a small random meet last Monday, lots of Subaru's and Evo's but also a couple FRS/BRZ from a local club.. all the FRS/BRZ guys were pretty cool and we got along well since we all appreciate small, well handling, RWD cars.. not too much attention from the 4 door guys though

I really like the FRS/BRZ cars as well. If I could afford a new car at the moment, they would definitly be on my "short" list.
It all evens out though, because I wouldn't be given the 4dr. Subies any lovin either.lol
