Default Project 69...

I have recently acquired my second Crossfire ... VIN# 69.

Quick Facts:
VIN# 69
Black on Black with Auto
Originally a corporate/show car for the first 1700 miles of it's life
Owned by the same owner for nearly 9 years
Clear Coated engine bay and undercarriage (never seen that before)
No Accidents
A few little things here and there like different clips on for the radiator, paint on the headlight surrounds, backwards window buttons??

The Plan:
3.7L Engine Swap - Done ... https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...-xf-370-a.html
Completely redo the interior - Done
Service everything - Done
Clean and touch up the Exterior - Done

Photo(s) when I first got her... Then did a quick clean up before tear down

I love how you fixed the bumper by taking a picture from the other side.

I know a lot of the early ones were destroyed in crash tests etc. I wonder what was the first build number actually sold to the public? I'll bet that one is close.

In the process of reinstalling the interior.
All the pieces are either new or refinished as well as all broken or damaged parts replaced. The black interior pieces were all professionally redone in the O.E.M. black finish with the headliner to match. The seats are out of an '05 Roadster which help break up the all black interior.
(for those that don't know the '04 seat electrical connectors are out of the 210 E Class ... the '05 and up crossfire's appear to have the newer style MB connectors like out of the 212's and 204's)

Seats are re-wired
New springs installed
"Sticky Key" Ignition update performed
Bumpers are going into paint tomorrow

A big thanks to everyone I purchased parts from as they all arrived safe and sound.

Nearing the end... bumpers came back from paint and look/match beautifully. Wheels are back on and it's standing on its own feet for the first time since it came home. It's quick... dare I say fast! Almost done

I really like the way the seats look, I'd like to accomplish something similar but I really don't want to put the money there. Very nice job, my caps off to you.

Fully done with all the mechanicals and then had it fully detailed ... in the home stretch now just a few odds and ends to button up and she'll be ready for the road.

Looks good, you will have to give us some driving impressions and additional info on the swap once you have lived with it for a while...

Great Restoration! It's nice to see a Crossy saved from the scrape heap.
