Buyer Beware
This is the second Crossfire listing I've seen on Craigslist that said the timing belt was recently changed. As they have timing chains that last forever, nothing in the listing is believable.
Chrysler Crossfire load it with subwoofer system awesome body 125k
A different seller on ebay is listing a used SKREEM module as a tested Homelink.

BTW - SKREEM modules, just like the keys, are linked to each car by a secret code, and will not work with another car.

Well, I don't see many red flags here, unless selling a used skreem module means we had some starting issues. It must be running now or he wouldn't have stated it was. Price is right. Timing belt or timing chain. Not many is going to do this work themselves, so I am sure he is just repeating what a mechanic told him. Common mistake, or miss statement.
How long are the clutches good for? I know it depends on how you drive , but just an average?
I suppose it’s possible that someone that knows very little about car engines might confuse a serpentine belt with a timing belt, and a majority of car owners know little about their car engines. However, the belts are absolutely not the same thing.
A used car with high mileage on it that requires timing belt replacement is of lesser value than a car that just had it replaced. It’s a risk to a buyer to pay too much thinking that service was performed. In addition, if the belt was not replaced the buyer risks a major engine failure (on an interference engine) if they accepted the seller statement without verification.
It comes down to listing practices. My main point about "buyer beware" is that some sellers statements may not be true, you cannot always believe Craigslist seller statements without some documentation .
