Yea!!! Looks like the value of our cars are going up
That's what I thought, the Carfax with the ad says it's $1200 above retail. I have no idea where Carfax pulled that retail value from.
I bought an srt 6 last week (pics to come) but to make a long story short a dealer in Ohio sold a black srt6 for 18k 2 weeks ago and they are asking 17 for a charcoal srt they have now... The dealer I bought mine off of had a handfull people come in and try to buy the one I bought while I was doing paper work the market might be coming back!
This is hilarious lol, they keep sending me mail from the Dodge/Jeep/Chrysler dealers from around the chicago area saying that they wanna buy my Xfire because demand for the car is rising. I guess it could be true that people are now starting to look at them again. Granted, I would actually want the value to go down for a bit longer, so I can go steal an SRT6 for real cheap.
Good call.
I'm going to be pushing the "local" sale more anyways, so maybe I can list it a bit higher

I'm pretty sure if prices on cars like the NSX are still dropping, we aren't going to be seeing any actual rise for quite a while
I can get a 305 hp 2013 Mustang convertible for that money. I paid less than that for my 2005 in 2007 and it had 9750 miles on it. Anyone who pays that is crazy.
If [any] Mustang comes to mind first, the argument is invalid.
The two vehicles couldn't be farther apart, in any category.
Just my opinion.

Doubt any real bidders on it just, they just bid to just under the reserve.

I started reading about the SRT6 and wanting one a couple of months ago. I found some with 70 to 110k miles in the 10 to 14,000 dollar range. I found a couple with mid 60k miles for 13 to 15,000 dollars and a couple with just under 20k miles in the 17,000 dollar range. Two I thought about buying but were sold before I acted. I then bit the bullet on a color I liked with only 8,450 miles, I paid 19,300 plus 1,750 to ship it. I don't believe I got a smoken' deal, but I'm hopeful I got a great car. For me, the low miles were worth the extra bucks and I'm really pleased with the transaction.
So, am i helping the value? Who knows - I felt the car was well worth what I paid.

Im with you retrodave, I have no problem paying a little extra for a pristine, low mileage vehicle. As for your SRT when you consider the original msrp and how few they built you did ok. All that matters is if you are happy it doesnt matter what other think.
