Smile 2008 Crossfire convertible window

It fell out today. looking online for a new top from Convertible Tops which I read about on this forum. I see it costs about the same amount as paying the trim guy here to reglue the window ($850). I don't know how to ship the top (without window they say) or how much that would cost. Any advice? Replace top or have reglued (trim guy has done a few here and has no complaints he says.)

850 for a glue job. Wrong top shop. Find another.

I did mine with gorilla glue. Cost about $6 for the glue. Held up for at least six months through the end of summer and winter. Then the top was replaced under warranty but I'm sure it would have been fine for a lot longer. Top on my car was replaced nearly three years ago.

How did you get a warranty to cover it? I bought a service contract as salesman said it would be covered for 7 yrs but not covered!! We used the 3M window weld yesterday (wondered about gorilla glue!) and it was hard to use the caulking gun and a little messy..opened the top slightly then taped window to top after closing. Did get black glue in window. . So I hope I can get it off! Wanted to try this before spending megabucks!

I 'll fly down and glue the window back in for $800 and you can keep the glue I do not use, OK?

If the trim guy has heard no complaints then he must be seriously deaf or a liar.

Seriously they can be fixed for much less and even free in some states.

Look through these threads and get an idea of the fixes available.

Check out Forum/Roadster section for many years of info. (TSB 23-035-11Rev.A) Texas is one of only 9 covered States & 2005's only. See your dealer & call Chrysler; tell 'em if they ever want your business, they better make you a really good offer. Nothing to lose by trying. PLZ file complaint w/ safercar.gov, Good Luck!
