A must read, the latest Road & Track has a great article on the Dragon. I hope to make one of the GTG's at Fontana Lake, maybe next year!!!!

I have seen a few of those "Dragon" cars sitting down there at the photo store across from restaurant at Deals Gap.... I figured they were the locals, who get to hone their skills a lot.... A lot more than we do, and growing up your friend, the 'cop' isn't a bad thing either.....guilty.......lol

No to either. The other end of the dam is a parking lot, overlook, and turn-around. And also you can hike the Appalachian Trail since it crosses the dam.

you will pick up 28 at Deals Gap, the end of the Dragon. Follow 28 to the hotel. If you continue past the hotel, you will see the exit for the Dam.
