Friend trashed my wheels. Looking for used set.
I loaned my car to a friend who's car broke down on him. He was driving the car to work several days ago and somehow managed to bend all four wheels. He said he didn't hit anything. But it is clear that isn't the case. I think he went over a rough set of tracks near where the tires let go. My guess, he was giving it hell.
They have a one, to two inch deep bend in every inner rim. It was bad enough that they will not hold air. He say's he saw a bunch of nails on the road that must have fallen from a truck, and attempted to miss them, but they went flat. I looked at the tires. No nails...
It's my fault for being a good guy and loaning out my baby. No good deed goes unpunished, as they say.
Anyway. I'm looking for a full set of wheels if anyone has some they are looking to move. I would be interested in a set of SRT's as well. But I'll take what I can get. Thanks... Ron

I see multiple in Texas and Minnesota. maybe there is something closer, but as for me the price is very good Wheel Set Crossfire - Classifieds - Claz.org
Nope. I won't have the 7 spoke wheels available until I find someone to reface my SE wheels.
Not having much luck in that endeavor.

I doubt it. Road hazard. But the guy who broke them is paying for the repair.

I called the guy this morning, not very friendly, or helpful. But he still has them. He takes cash only, and won't ship them either. But being a truck driver has it's advantages. I'll just route through and pick them up. So outside the offhand chance of a Deliverance movie incident, (I don't wanna squeal like a pig), I think it will work out. I can handle a few snags for a decent price.
My wife managed to bend all the wheels on her MB last winter....she's driving my old Tahoe when the snow flies.... Sorry to hear about your wheels, but I have to tell you, some of the 10 yr old rims are starting to show some cracking, so it might be time to look for new rims any way....
I go over a couple sets of railroad tracks almost every day and take them at 20 mph. I just flash the brakes a couple times, or the flashers if that does not work. It also helps to move out of the normal "traffic pattern" where the pavement is beaten down but the tracks remain high. Tough luck, and another reason I do not loan my cars. I hope oledoc is wrong about the rims getting tired and cracking. Sounds like a personal problem with old age (as I well know).
if you PM me your email address I will send over pictures of the new rims that we have access to right now, the price is very reasonable on them. thanks, rob
will vary depending on distance I will need to ship them but in the 750 shipped range with centercaps and lugs. I will be picking up a few sets tue/wed. if anyone has any questions please pm/email me as I don't want to further thread jack.
well there have been wheels for sale on here all week....so he surely has seen them for sale as well as yours.....those are similar to what my wife bent last winter....I like their look
