arejohn: Just be sure that the paint used is the correct code for your car/year... had my front bumper/facia painted recently, and left the shop to get the correct paint...not...the paint used came out too light...have to have it repainted...this time I'm getting the paint myself...you can also save around 30% by buying it on line... check with ExpressPaint... they also have the clearcoat at a discount also...good luck...Carl

BTW, I'm just down the road from you in Myrtle Beach SC..you should make plans to go the Spring Dragon meet in Fontana Dam, NC the first weekend in April...it's a blast!!!

Paint codes covered. I started with BASF because I think it's German. Prices from 50 to 180 for quart from same seller. I am researching paint grades. I suspect I only need pint but used easiest size to compare.

What? Got to the dragon with you old guys? You bring an EMT?

arejohn: I can pick up a pint of the base coat for approximately 60.00 and a pint of the clear for 25.00

And yes!!! you will be welcomed with us "old guys"... hopefully no EMT...I'm sure you have heard that age is only a number and a certain " State of Mind"...Carl

I'm starting to feel like a kid again. Been trying to go both with CF and Miata groups. Family health and my tired bones don't help.

After I hit the send, I was concerned that it might offend since I am so much younger.

I got an estimate. $695. Removing the bumper to paint. That included painting the gas door.

arejohn: No offense taken, man. I too was very young once...but getting older just makes one wiser and the ability to appreciate life to its fullest, especially in a Crossfire!!!

Remember:: Keep on Crossfireing!!!...Carl
