Farewell for now
Well, fifty-five months is almost a record for me with a daily driver, but it's time for something new and more updated. I have greatly enjoyed all your company and advice, and this forum has made owning a Crossfire immeasurably more pleasant than the standard car experience.
Regrets: 52000 on the car losing all benefit of the LPW.
The passing of my mid-life crisis with the likelihood that this is the last daily driver two seater I'll ever own.
Plusses: No longer will I have to get pry myself out of a car or sit on the pavement.
Much shorter door on my new car;
Memory seats and every option known to man now available.
It's being replaced with a purchase similar to the Crossfire purchase, to wit: New 2013 Regal GS with a standard transmission. That is, although new, its two years out and 20K off because people don't understand stick shifts.
I plan on checking in periodically, but as you know, the best laid plans... So again, thanks, and I will miss this place.

As will I! Good luck and best wishes as you move on. I recently replaced BB as a daily driver, but since she was paid off years ago I chose ( would never sell) to repaint and refresh her @ 90,000 miles. Now she can be the garage queen she deserves to be for treating me so well for so many years. Just sunny weekend tours in her future, and occasional spots at local car shows.
My wife refuses to drive my SRT-6 … √. Faster than I ever imagined … √. My only regret is hitting the wall in the high 11's. Hitting the talent wall in the high 11's. I'm torn between the unusual and unique and the easier / more common. Sometimes I ponder the logic of my Crossfire but it all goes away when I hit the track. When I give up going to the track the car will go ….. or not. It's been the best car I've ever owned based on the enjoyment I've extracted from it. Best of luck in the new direction and maturity. I'm still growing up.

Sorry to see you leave. I have a hard time understanding, but that is your choice. The only reason I can see for selling my XF is if I can't drive it anymore. Still love the car with all the faults????? Still get "PERMAGRIN" when I get in. Even it it is just in the garage cleaning.
Again ,sorry your leaving!

I guess if the Buick is a turbo and has a stick, then it qualifies as a sports car for old people. Next step is a Caddy. Someday you'll look back fondly on the XF and wish you never sold her, but best of luck going forward. How much did they give you on trade? The machine gray is a spectacular color -- that's what we bought in a 2007 model for my son back in 2008.
VL, sorry to see you go, bud.
I'm looking for a DD myself. In the $20-$24K range.
ATS
GTi
A4
335i
Didn't think of the Regal-have to look!
Ragtop if I can find one. I'm getting tired of bending my broken neck to duck into the Crossfire too....

Thanks for the well wishes and the sentiments. To a question posed, only need one daily driver, at my limit for pure fun cars, and I'd have to get rid of a Sunbeam Tiger to keep it. Also, I do have the Tiger for the fun stuff, and would have a hard time justifying pulling the Crossfire out on a Sunday rather than the Tiger. And that was funny onehundred80.
