Default DIY Vented Hood For $30

Just wanted to share my DIY vented hood project. I'm very pleased with the final results. I wasn't a fan of the Jaguar vents that are common on the CF hoods for our cars plus I wanted more of a 'flush mount' look. I used perforated 3003 aluminum I purchased off eBay. I had some 3M Panel Bonding Adhesive laying around at work so I used that. For those that don't have some, add $100 to this project. It's not cheap stuff. Here are some pics.

Looks good and should vent. I had drop in vents styled like those in a 1978 Datsun 280 factory hood. Squirrel Crusher

Thanks buddy, I never drive it in the rain so my design wasn't based on the worry of it. But as an emergency back up if I get caught in the rain, I purchased these 12"×12" flat magnets to make it home.
