Default Help with Door Locks-Different of Previous Posts

I have an 04 coupe and I just got the car painted and when I got the car home the driver door will not lock. I have a service manual and I thought maybe they did not put the door handle back on right after they painted it. I took the lock cylinder out and put back in. When I operate the door lock on the remote all the other locks work except for the driver door. I pulled the connection off and I get air out on unlock and vacuum on air lock. Not sure if there is enough vacuum to lock the door or not. Also what is really stumping me right now is that my key does not lock the door manually either. Any help here would be appreciated. I do not think it is pump related. Thanks,

If they removed the inside door panel (to remove exterior handle while painting) they may not have routed the door locking cable correctly. There is a steel metal cable that runs between the interior door release and the locking/exterior door mechanism. Check to be sure it is routed thru its guides.

The door lock cylinder mechanically operates a switch that in turn operates the security pump in the trunk for locking or unlocking all the the car locks at once. No connection mechanically to the switch means the key will not operate the locks.
To what extent did the body shop take the lock apart from the inside or just outside?
The cable inside the door just gets the interior door handle to work, it would not affect the exterior locking at all, also the inner door panel would have to be remove to take it off the connectors. You would know if this was forgotten to be connected because the interior handle would flop about, guess how I know.
