Key just to unlock the door?

Is it possible to buy a key to unlock the door, not for starting?

you need a new key, we do not have the Mercedes keys that separate

I used a lock smith that has the mill type key cutter. They cut me a key with a head on it. I cut the rubber head off so I could carry the key in my wallet. Cost was $55.
