No it closed a few years back Trader died and the family kept it open for a few years. The bar is still there under a different name and I think some of the memorabilia is still there.
Trader's was wild and woolly in 1970; one of the few bars with live (?) strippers.
Recall Trader always had mismatched socks and told many a good yarn.
Was surprised at how tame and respectable the bar had become on my return to P'cola in '85.
The bar was showcased during Naval Aviation's 75th Anniversary, complete with Hollywood stars (Bob Hope, Liz Taylor, ...)
I thought the old bar got flushed by Hurricane Ivan in '04 when Palafox went underwater.
Will have to check it out next time I go downtown.

Nice to meet you. I see that A4 nice plane for a bomber. You see my Dad was a F8 driver Capt. Don Whitman ret here around 76 as CO of NAS Saufley Field. Got my love of sports cars from him for shure he had an MGA also, along with a Carman Giha and Porche,. I use to have an MBGGT which reminds me of the Crossfire hard top a lot always loved that shape like the 240Z or Jag XKE.
