'04 coupe 3.7l swap
I had to replace the engine in my 04 Coupe. I choose to go with the 3.7l for an 04 S350. Swapped the engine harness from the 3.2l engine over to the 3.7l.
So far no issues and the car feels much quicker. Feels like it has more low end pull.

HP/TQ rating for the 3.7 is 245/254, respectively (compared to 218/232 in the 3.2).
I would hazard a guess that all NW intakes, headers, etc would bolt up as well. It's just a longer stroke.
You're right -- I got it bass-ackwards
Per Wiki:
"It retains the 84 mm stroke of the E320 but is bored to 97 mm"
Cheers,

I think the most you can go on stock N/A internals is around ~7 PSI, based on my recollections from the MB forums.
Before I would go through the trouble of swapping a 3.7 and force-feeding it, I would pay someone to do a 550 V8 conversion.
very true ,sadly the blown 5.4 Amg motor is Not Allowed in a crossfire here in the Nanny State of Australia. Too much power for it they say .
ha phooey i say .

55K = Supercharged V8, between 469 and 490 hp depending on donor vehicle (SL was more than E55, for example).
Any updates? By swapping the harness... does that mean you had to splice it and adapt it or it's a straight swap? Did you weight the car before and after? Did you have to do any tunning? Where are you located? I don't think we have this engine in North America but I would be interested in importing it.

Ok. It seems like the ML350 would be the vehicle to have this engine. These engines are very cheap at the junk yard. Like 500 to 700 bucks!
if the coding could be done at a resonabe price I sure several ppl would be sending off the computer to be coded to a 5.0 or 5.4 m113.
hell if coding was at a descent price I would already have a 5.0 in front of my 6 spd....
as long as it is a m112 engine, the m113 that is the v8 that have been swapped is the same engine family.

not much difference both being full aluminum blocks and heads vs other cast iron engines.
It's longer and has more internals. It definitely puts a bit more weight at the front. I don't know if it's really significant but still. The 3.7 swap seems really cheap and straight forward. I also own a 6 speed manual so no hassle with the ecu needed.

the m113 is only 330 lbs and the monster v12 is only 490 lbs
