Default door lock pump

The vacuum pump that lock and unlocks the door is running longer than it use to. Could this be because of a leak or does it point to a more serious problem?

If it was mine I think I would take the cover off it and watch it while I actuated the locks. I think that there must be some form of sensor that determines the time the pump operates, probably based on pressure.

I would check for a water leak / moisture under the pump .
The spoiler and fuel door seals can fail and let water in.
Let us know...
