Default Fob

My remote does not function. can I test the FOB to see if works? I installed new batteries and still nothing. I have been manually locking the car. Any ideas?

Did you reprogram the fob after installing new batteries.

I've changed the batteries in both fob's twice and have not had to reprogram them at any time. There's a lot of threads on the fob's , maybe even a sticky so do a little more research and you might find the answer.☺️ cheers!

It can be related to your alarm/siren battery being dead. You probably need to replace your alarm/siren which is under the windshield wiper cowling. It can also be related to water intrusion into the trunk flooding out the central control module. Have you checked that? Does the car lock & unlock using the button on the dash?

My doors lock and unlock with my key I believe the pump works.
the battery on the alarm is another issue I`ll need to figure out how to remove the cowling...
Thank you Red Dog

I asked if the doors lock and unlock using the button on the console center stack . . .

Further FYI - My fob stopped working recently on the SSB roadster and replacing the alarm / siren mounted under the windshield wiper cowling fixed the issue.

Center console switch does lock and unlocks the doors and trunk
