tail shape

i heard at a review the xf has a boat tail shape: " The Chrysler Crossfire roadster had a bit of a tapered, ‘boat tail’ appearance " .
is that correct?
i think of boat tail shape on cars like the riviera:

I think the coupe is a newer version of the AMC Marlin.
