They use to be called Curb Feelers!!!

They still are, at least down South ......
Back in the 50's/60's you had to have a set of them along with fuzzy dice for the mirror and a coon tail for the antenna.
Mud flaps and fender skirts were optional.
If you were truly avant garde, you had lakes pipes and spun aluminum moon hub caps.

What about a tiger tail sticking out from the gas cap? At home you had a complete set of plates, cups and saucers and cutlery all picked up free at the local gas station when you spent so much $$$. Those were the days my friend we thought they would never end, but suddenly the seventies arrived and it all went ti.ts up.

I can just imagine lake pipes on an srt6

In fact, the only thing missing in this thread is dummy spots..........
