Default Cost of Crossfire parts😐

So I thought I'd do a search on eBay for Crossfire parts today just to see what's out there and there's a lot. But some of those folks need to be hung up by their balljoints. I get it its a rare car, they don't make em any more, but give me a break.

Totally agree... Some ppl think they are selling gold bullion for pet's sake (not disparaging anyone named 'Pete')... It'll never change (those who think they can, do) as long as the old saying 'There is a sucker born every minute' is valid. Such is the animal called h0m0 sapiens!

Can you believe the term in its entirety **** sapians is *'d out (so I changed it to h0m0 sapians) because of PC? Jeeze...

Here's a link to a national parts locating service for salvage yards. Prices range from good to ridiculous but lots of parts and may be negotiable :

If you have the ability to strip and store parts, buying a parts car is the least expensive way to go.
Keep what you want sell the rest.

for the remaining carcass, steel has value too.

Expensive parts usually belong to expensive vehicles or simply cost a lot to make. Older car parts are hard to find and the scarcity drives up the price.
These parts cost a lot due to who makes them. If they need shipped from overseas, due to a foreign brand, then the price will grow more. Mercedes has pricier parts due to the fact that they are a high end company that has to import their parts and use better parts with tighter standards. Remember, the Sum is greater than the whole.

All I can say to this is the fact Chrysler jacks the price so high for the same branded part (and most of the time a boxed MB sourced part with a Chrysler label on it), the answer is simpler, greed (and to a lesser extent) supply and demand!

Do you mean like 2 sets of "Crossfire" trunk letters selling for $100 ?
Firstly, why would one need 2 sets?.... perhaps to equalise the aerodynamics, so you'd install a set on the bonnet too?

I'm not sure what you are saying about that price but $50 per set sounds pretty good to me.

Hey Faceless, if you have an extra set of CROSSFIRE letters I will happily buy them for $50. Back in 2008 they were going for $48 and I stupidly did not buy a set when they were still available from Chrysler.
