Default '04 Crossfire - Swimmin' with the Fishes

Original Owner. 64k miles. Almost made it to Historic plates. Hurricane Ian took her on 09-28-2022. Entire car was submerged in waters of the Gulf Of Mexico.
FYI - (in case you want to sticky this info): The 2004 Crossfire doesn't float.

Thx. We're all fine. Flo, (from progressive insurance) said they'll payout at current market value. Which is nice. It's a fair shake.

Are you going to get another XF? Will the ins. co let you keep the car? Parts, lots o parts, might be salvageable? Sad to see another go, you can get another. BTW, what was their offer @ the market value?

The fair market value on a 2004 Crossfire, he’ll be lucky to get $5,000. The insurance companies have been hit hard and they will underpay as much as they can so the executive's can still get their big bonuses. Now comes the time when Joe Blow pays through his nose on his next policies, auto, home etc..

they offered $9k and I'm not complaining. They'll probably part out the car (so thats kinda a good thing). I've no say in the matter. They take the car & I take the check.

Posible replacement: Mazda MX-5, Ford Mustang convertible. That would make for a good thread: What would you get if you had to replace your XFire?

~ Sorry for your loss, glad you made it through Ian.
~ If I had to replace a Xfire with another car, it might be a Cadillac CTS-V.

If I had my 'druthers', I would get an older car without all those damn nanny computers and electronics. Easy to work on, aftermarket parts abound, and probably a LOT EASIER to troubleshoot and DIY... But then again, I drive my vehicles and don't expect the vehicle to almost drive itself. Good luck! Glad you made it through Ian... LOL

I would get a 02 Sl500. Got to have electric gremlins or car owner ship would be boring.
