Anyone in Houston?
I'm looking for other XF owners in the Houston area that can suggest great places for service.
I might need some assistance routing wires back to the rear for a backup camera. I'm old school no problem installing stuff in older American cars, but this car is special and I really don't want to screw it up. Seriously I have installed probably a hundred or more 2-way radio systems and auto sound. But it was in the 80's lol.

I'm in Clearlake and have had the same mechanic for over 30 years. Foreign car specialists (domestic also). Mercedes, etc.

Trust me - back in this period, being a German Marque was not a testament to reliability. They nearly all had quirky failures. And the Canvas Roadster tops on just about all of them had rear windows separate from poor glue adhesion due to higher temperature exposures. Took them nearly 10 years to come up with a glue that withstood Southern USA temperatures. But I still like the reference to the Crossfire being included as a 'high-end' vehicle.
In Germany, Mercedes, Audi, BMW are like Chrysler, GM and Ford. When I was stationed in Erlangen, Germany they were used as taxis. Nothing special in my opinion.
