Since we just updated our stereo unit, replaced the OEM amplifier, and replaced the speakers on the bulkhead it seemed a good time to include pics of storage solutions that are working for us.
Head unit is a Panasonic AVH-3800NEX, it has a motorized screen that can be retracted while continuing to play. This allows for accessing HVAC controls. The face is detachable. If I use my iPhone to drive Navigation and Music, the iPhone phone functions connect via Bluetooth. Not a bad workaround so far.
There are two cup holders that mount in the door pull. They have slots for phones, etc. We use only Contigo cups because they can easily lock and thus, can fall without spilling a drop.
There's one cup holder between the passenger seat and console. It holds larger-bottomed cups and is also a great storage spot for a regular ol' road atlas (because there are stretches of the Southwest without cell coverage, no GPS access without specialized gear, and a wrong turn in the mountains can turn into a perilous trek into the wilderness. So happy I learned to read maps when I was a kid.
The CarCan is insulated, we use small, reusable freezer packs to keep water, etc., cool. It is also a convenient trash bag between rest/fuel/stretch stops. We use the mesh cup holders on each side to hold collapsable canes and the front mesh pocket to hold a sun-protective shawl.
I didn't include pics of the cup holder in the storage bin because the console lid likes to knock cups over or bounce against cups and we don't use that for much ... now.
The only flaw so far is that the screen doesn't stand up to direct sunlight too well. I retract the screen and rock on, top down.
Lots of ways to increase helpful and useful storage in these cozy, little cabins. These are what's working for us right now.
New Panasonic head unit, screen closed New Panasonic head unit, screen open Cup holder, passenger side, includes slot for phones, etc. Cup holder, driver side, includes slot for phones, etc. Cup holder, fits between seat and console, a great place to store a road atlas Storage, trash, insulated, mesh pockets for cups and misc. Open insulated storage or trash bag, two mesh cup holders on sides, one pocket on front.
Thanks for the link.
I looked but don't know why I could not find it.
We have tried other holders but this seems so much better.
I have some ordering to do!
Thanks again.

I love seeing “new” amid inventive ways to create storage space or cup holders. Looks great. I assume you get used to pulling the door from the bottom of the handle.
A lot of us purchase the “hanging” cup holders, bend up the back of it that holds it in place and then slide it under the center console to hold it in place. It then rests on the floor without bothering driver or passenger and is held in place by the center console. I have one on each side.
If you don’t want to go with plastic, there is a guy who makes those cup-holders out of metal in different colors. Looks more “fancy” - Called the Ultimate Cupholder. I also think someone is printing those on Etsy in plastic. They come with the backing strip so you don’t have to bend it and just slide it up and under the console and it rests on the floor board.
