What's the fastest you "Allegedy" driven your Crossfire?
I've heard that there are performance chips to get more out of the engine. Does anyone have any input on the SRT-6 and a possible chip for it?
I'm pretty sure I'm not going to change anything due to voiding the warranty, but I am curious.

I picked up my Limited Coupe in Miami about 3 weeks ago, and drove home to Austin by way of the Everglades Toll Road at about 9 PM. Traffic was light, and on one stretch my speedo showed 148, and was still climbing when I had to shut down for traffic. I think it would have easily broken 150, maybe more. Speedo seems accurate, but I have not really checked it out carefully. Averaged about 28 MPG on several tanks, even tried 89 and 87 octane with no adverse reactions, although I suspect that "HAL" the computer reigns in a few horses to compensate...
This is the second car I've owned I haven't done a top speed test in. I gave up doing that a while ago...not worth the risk of a ticket, and I get enough of those as it is.
That being said, I've only had my car up to 105 or so. Most I've hit in a car, indicated, was 130 mph in a Diamante, and 125 which was limited/topped in a 2000 BMW 323ci. Nothing crazy.

I've broken the 100 mph barrier, but I'm not sure by how far as my eyes tend to be glued to the road after I hit triple digits.
Around 130 racing a Ford Lightning. Had to slow down because of traffic. Will hit 150 one day. Don't you think that since you have a car that goes 150, that you should hit it at least once? I would be very upset if I didn't get there. Some day!
145 for about 20kms in the xfire's natural habitat, the German Autobahn. Rock solid with more to come. It will easily do the quoted 150.

Got it up to 145 mph and ran out of road on the 401 outside of Windsor Ontario. Actually there was lots of road just alot more traffic and as I slowed up and got back in line with all the others I drove right past a cop with his radar on and his pen ready. One of the few times in my life I was grateful for traffic...WHEW. That would have been a whopper of a ticket. The steering was as tight as if I was going 60 what a ride.
I had my SRT a little over 140 once. It was still accelerating rapidly when I got out of it. I was on a flat, straight and totally empty 6 lane freeway in mid-afternoon. When I saw traffic ahead it was time to knock it off.
150 on the Garden State Parkway at 2:30 in the morning. It was glorious. Hate to think what would have happened if I had been caught.
135 in my ltd roadster!!! i was in the slipstream of a 911 turbo, on I55 in mo., it was dead solid and she had a lot more to go!!!
Road and Track stated governed at 158 mph. Arizona roads best for high speed activity. Built to run. Had SRT6 to 128, no problem... Felt completely comfortable.
