SRT-6 Xfire to 400 HP?
You will probably need, Pulley's, upgraded ECU, Cams, Headers, Exhaust work, and Ported & Polished heads. Removing the headers & heads you can probably get in the 375 rwhp.
There are different routes to get the above with varying prices. Headers will have to be custom as no one makes them for the car.

Wouldn't the RENNtech ECU/Pulley upgrade alone get you to 400 FWHP? I thought the kit was advertised to yield 404 HP on the SLK32 AMG, and the only difference in the SRT motor and the AMG motor was the ECU itself. In other words, I thought RENNtech's reflash cured this?

Sure if you never been involved with a Nos before it will be a scary thought, but for those who have it.
Well... IT'S THE BOMB!

The numbers quoted by RENNtech (and a majority of others out there) are crank numbers, not wheel numbers. The SLK32 for example is rated at 349 hp. The stock dyno's (that I have seen) for the car all show between 290 - 305 rwhp with both of the extremes being the exception. Remember that an engine and drivetrain are not 100% efficient.

FWHP= Fly Wheel Horse Power
Sorry to throw you off there... I wouldn't even consider a front wheel drive vehicle for a performance car... nor did I ever think the Crossfire was one.

The 3.8 liter engine conversion will probably get you to about 425-430, but it will run you at least 12k.
With about 5k 400 FWHP is probably possible without nitrous or an addition of any kind of forced induction.
I actually had plans on doing this, but my car crash of my sister's car has cut me short.

Nitrous is an option and I was going to raise it but someone beat me to it.
No one (that I am aware of) makes a kit designed for the car. You will have to do a custom install which is not a bit deal.
I know a guy with a 125 shot in his SLK55. Makes a huge difference.
Not a route I would go but plenty of people use Nitrous without a problem. Don't listen to the hype on the internet where people have blown up their garage or something stupid with Nitrous. If you read the stories you will see the people were all idiots.

^^^ Agreed. And these are normally the ones who weave between traffic on the freeway trying to be Vin Diesel... lmao. I know a lot of guys on the Ranger forums who are guilty/have been guilty of this.
Nitrous, if plumbed correctly and some sort of shutoff is implemented to prevent a lean-out condition, can be extremely safe. Venom sells an awesome kit... pricey as hell but very worth it IMO... it includes a display unit to keep to keep up with all the ratios and levels... good stuff.
