Group Buy for Turbo Kit
I'm going to a shop this week that has already done one Twin Turbo Twin Intercooled Crossfire to see what we can do with my car.
My question to all of you here that seem interested in more power for these cars is:
Is there anyone that is serious?
I'm looking to get ten kits made after mine is complete with an estimated price of 8-10K. Before I do this I would need to take deposits. Is there an interest for this so that I can tell the shop or is this something I should do on my own and then read posts about people wanting to do it?

An SRT-6 with a 330 HP Supercharged Engine, Bigger Meaner Brakes, Better Suspension and Factory Warranty for $25K - $26K seems like a better deal.

It was on a limited. I'm heading to the shop tomorrow and will get more details. It was a one off car and none of the parts have been replaced. It's the 6th ave electronics car.
I'll be the first to call b.s., again. If they had made a kit it would be SOMEWHERE on the web. If I am proved wrong I'll put my foot in my mouth, but I've been on a pretty hot streak lately.
But like everyone is going to say, you can buy an srt-6 and get a staged kit for it and be making 350 whp for the price of a base plus 10k. And what are you asking for deposits for? There isn't even a product.

p.s., anyone could get it done for 10k, that's not an amazing group buy price or anything. You could easily get some tuner company to fab a turbo manifold and do all the other associated mods for 10k, but crossfire owners don't have that kind of money hanging around in most cases. Until there is a kit that can compete with the prices of the 350z kit no one is going to buy one. The greddy tt kit can be had for about $5,500.
I got prices of around 6k for one kit, the price will drop if we can have more buyers. The 10K came from some necessary upgrades you will need to do to the car to make things work. You need a stand alone ECU, Fuel Upgrades, and wide band equipment.
This stuff adds money and can be as cheap as 2k for just the basics to as much as 4K for the better safer stuff.
The manifolds will be the bulk of the work, and I'll ask if we can just get those reproduced.
Regardless of the price I don't see too many people jumping on any of these performance deals.

look... as i said before, i'll cost me around 4k to build my turbo kit ... here in mx... you are asking for 10k... that's a lot... but then you're right ... for the turbo kit to be safe it needs to add more things ... but... still it is a lot of money 10k --- show us your process and maybe i'll join you in this...
I'm not trying to hate on your call for all crossfire members, but I would venture to guess you are the 15th or so person to mention this. You have been around here a pretty long time and know about the various scams that have covered this exact topic. I'm not saying you are one of those people, you have been a great forum member in your time. You just have to understand the lack of enthusiasm for this mod if for nothing else because of its history of failure and scandal. And 4k for a standalone, injectors and a fuel pump is a lot of money, injectors and a fuel pump should cost about $600 dollars which means there is over 3k left for a standalone and there are plenty of really good high quality stand alones for half that amount. I used to run a wolf 3d standalone ecu on my rx7 and paid $600 dollars for it. Those types of parts should really be left on the shelf for people to pick up themselves unless the kit is going to come plug and play with proper tuning for different fuel types, i.e. 91, 92, 93 and 94.
I really do wish you and the above poster the best of luck in this endeavor. There are additional aftermarket parts to those you have mentioned, like larger air boxes, cams and pulleys.

i know the shop that handled the production of the "kit" and they are very capable of one off cars but i doubt they would go for a mass deal like you are proposing ... which shop did you visit, sardis in north bergen who made the manifolds or that hell hole in newark ? bring a gun with you if its the hell hole ... or say hello to sardis if it was him, he's a good man with talent.
just to add: if they are going to use a full stand alone system on your car consider the cold start values will need to be tuned when the temps stop dropping or the car will become very unreliable towards the winter when it need to start up... this is a major PITA and you will need to do this on your own cause whoever tuned the car for drivability won't be there with you when you start it up in the morning...

There is no way you will even get more than 5-6 forum members to join you on this, I've already posted a thread trying to get the same thing done about 2 months ago. I think I've maybe scratched the interest of 3 members. This is hardly enough interest for any shop to start making small time production runs, the minimum price for an intercooled kit installed and dynoed for a good street tune will cost a minimum of $8,000 - $9,000. Otherwise do it yourself for half the price, but if you calculated your time on a DIY first timer you'll be back up to $8,000 completed. So what's the point buy the SRT6 and forget about the 6 speed tranny.
I've been thinking about the SRT-6 and think it's a really good idea, but I just can't live with an ugly spoiler. I got rid of my Honda for that reason and swore I would have no more cars with ridiculously oversized spoilers.

Well I've decided to do this in stages that will be both time and cost effective.
My first stage involves modifying the fuel system and fuel rails. We are looking at possibly using the stock rails and fabbing something off of that, or if not just making entirely new rails. Because the system is returnless, that also has to be dealt with. So all the hoses and mods to the tank will take place at that time as well.
Once that is finished we will install a standalone EMS to help with the tuning. We're looking at AEM or Greddy.
The total cost for the preliminary work looks like $3,500 - $4,500 depending on what has to be modified.

are you going to play with the tuning ect once you get the stand alone on there using a dyno? i'm interested in what power can be made with just new mapping on there also.

second if you are doing a return system i am assuming you are doing a rising variable rate pressure regulator which would mean you do not need a EMS... if you are doing a EMS then you do not need a return system cause you can modulate pulse width directly... only reason you would need both is if you intend to run a huge amount of boost (20+ psi) in which case you would want a 1:1 pressure regulator to raise the fuel pressure by1 psi per 1 psi of boost pressure so that you do not run out of injector duty cycle due to the reduced pump efficiency caused by the boost counter acting the fuel pressure...
third, there is no reason to run that much boost for 300 - 400 hp so long as your turbo is sized correctly...
so why are you looking to spend this much on useless things for the setup ? this system can be complete for under $2,000 in parts for a 300 hp kit... (not counting labor) ...and i do mean a fully functional kit. i've done it before, twice for my own cars, and for less.
don't let me discourage you just push you to do more research... cause at age 22, you have better things to spend your hard earned money on than this... but i understand your need for more power, just hope you get it in a more economical manner.
