I can't comment as to which is better as they are both near identicle in performance. We got +8HP and +12TQ, and NW reported +8HP and +8TQ. Ours is a two piece hand polished pipe, their's is a one piece welded and powdercoated pipe. Our filter is located behing the lower grille, theirs is located behind the upper grille. We offer an optional MB Engine cover. All in all I'm sure either product will put a smile on your face.

don't wanna bash but go with needswings just look at the people jumping on it, and tvt design might have a nice product but not an official well known business like needswings, tvt is a guy who designed parts and did a good job but a come and go like many others.

TVT,

Why is it TVT that you all will answer post's quicker here on the crossfire site than you will when someone calls or sends an email directly to your TVT site? It's quite frustrating to read all the I think this, and I think that, here on the site (NO OFFENSE..... YOU GUYS ARE COOL BUT... YOU KNOW THERE ARE A BUNCH OF WHAT IF'S HERE). For novice or rookie people like me that don't know jack about how to do it on a car, we just know we can buy what we want, this is enough to make you scream.... All I know is I have money and I want to hit the go fast pedal next to the brake. I could care less about Dyno's or Dinosaurs, specs and how to's, who's brother cousin's aunt said this, or what ex-mechanic who is now a stock broker thinks will work, all I want is a package the results and the price. I LOVE THIS CAR and it's my 13th vehicle at 36 years old consisting of 6 Mustang's, Lexus, Benz, and BMW. I'm so tired of reading post to find performance products for this car that it's SICK.. I want a turbo or supercharger but know one makes one and it's all freaking hear say. Too much power makes me worry about the tranny and changing other stuff. The car should hold up to 280 HP without changing anything else and that's what I want, 300 HP if someone knows it can handle it. If I told you I had up to $3,000.00 what is the most Horse Power I could gain and what would I need to buy, can you give me a list and a package price since you are suppose to be a company? $7,000.00 - $10,000.00 would get me what with what warranty ( Yess I have that to play with but want to be sure I'm getting something solid before I drop that)? I would drop $3k this month if it was worth it. Throw the parts and the price in the response, I'll buy it, and post if there is a difference. Help us out man. This talking of I think this and a buddy has that is driving me nuttsssssss.. You carry a product, get some gonads and say my **** is the best..... Market it... Sell me on why I should go TVT. All I can think that I can do with this car outside of spending 12k on a turbo or supercharger is below. Add to my list or set me straight so I can compete with a stocked G-35 and I'm your customer for LIFE.. I hear I can do the following for $1,500.00 is it true:

1. Cold Air Intake
2. ECM/ECU (I don't know the darn difference I just know its a computer flash. Which is best? I hear there are about 5 of them)
3. Exhaust
4. Sprint Booster ( I know it does nothing for horse power but it eliminate lag)

WHAT ELSE OR IS THIS IT. SHOOT ME A PACKAGE NUMBER AND LET'S GET THIS THING GOING THIS MONTH.

The NeedsWings dyno run also only ran up to a touch over 5000 rpm. I would be interested in seeing where the 5252 crossover point would be. Unfortunately, The star software does little to allow the Manual trans version to go to a full redline run. If you look closely at the dyno chart posted on this thread, https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...ad.php?t=23230
You'd see that had we reached the full RPM range the HP increase would have been higher.

The car was set up BONE STOCK in every other way, pulling fourth gear runs.

With a full to redline run with exhaust we added 18RWHP. On our run to 5000 RPM we had the +8HP and +12TQ.

Tye,

I received your email and PM when I got back today. I will call you tomorrow.

But here you go:

1. TVT CAI: 455.00 with cover and polish
2. Dual Exhaust: 1800.00 (you will be the first one with it) Full stainless, Vband, X-pipe, 600CFM cats optional, all the good stuff
3. Injectors: 350.00
4. ECU Tune: 350.00

That's 3K right there and will put you over the 250HP mark GUARNTEED. Add some other basics like thermostat and Block off plates and you're looking at 260+HP.

There you go. Yes I feel for the money we are the best you can get HP/$ for these motors.

where is the dyno sheet where you ran to full redline and got those numbers not doubting but would like to see., what size injectors , the stock injectors won't flow enough fuel for 260 hp????/?, also $ 350-370 right now needswings intake, underdrive pulleys from evosport, magnaflow cat back, drive to exhaust shop have them fab true dual if that is what you would like,i did not i feel it is not needed for the crossfire, and very happy with sound, inline fuel pump and 75 shot, well over the 260 mark for far less and safe when done right, thats what i opted for and very happy with it. half the price way more power eventually work on a tune compatible with my zex 82021 kit when it is available to get true dyno runs, not just a chip because of the spray

one more thing tvt is that exhaust done yet and for sale, i was told months ago it would be done glad i did not wait around, also arent you going out of the crossfire business already and selling your crossfire project car so obviously that means no more testing and fabricating ?, just what i was told from another member. That makes me wonder if the exhaust you state will ever even be out or your ecu tune

The Dyno Sheet on Post #7 from the the above link - That sure looks like a dad over 6,000 RPM to me..

That means the ECU has been TUNED - also for the SRT6 one should to produce PSI/boost readings to show if the engine has a pulley installed.

** EDIT ** Found the N/A Dyno on Chart on Post #1 - not bad...what gear was run #2 on?

Both runs were done within a few minutes of each other and by the same person.

Fourth gear was used throughout testing, on a manual transmission vehicle.

I do have a reflashed ECU.....but I hasn't been in the car in over a year, I think the timing is a little too far advanced as the car tends to run hot when it's installed.

As I said before, other than the intake, the car was bone stock, not even a sprint booster, and stock filters were used in the factory airbox.

TVT,

Thanks for the reply and the phone call back. We are going to make something happen I just need to decide if I'm going to do the turbo we discussed or the items that we disclosed. Give me a moment to figure out which one.

Mr. "nascarhq",

Thanks for your input as well I appreciate the advice. This issue is that I only like the performance of the SRT-6 and not the car it's self. When I put $3,000.00 in the balance the things I'm thinking for the extra 60 HP are a steal. If I put $10,000.00 in the balance for a turbo then I will be getting more than the SRT-6 offers but it will be a money pit because I will have to change a whole bunch of other stuff which I'm not interested in doing, but might be stupid to see what it does anyway. The issue I have with the SRT-6 compared to spending $3,000.00 or $5,000.00 extra bucks are listed below:

1. Does the SRT-6 come in White? Nope.. It will cost me about $4,500 for a good paint job. I've checked on it..

2. Does the SRT-6 come with a retractable spoiler.. Nope.. It will cost me about $1,600 to remove the fixed wing and put on the retractable one, then run wires and a switch to the dash where I have to alter other things that take away from the stock look. (I'm all about clean stocked appearanced vehicles.. That's my thing...). A guess from my tech...

3. Does the SRT-6 come with Cedar Interior like I have? Nope.. I can't stand the grey leather & suede combo with SRT-6 stencilled in the seat. Looks cheap for that type of performance car compared to the classy Cedar I have. The change would be around $3,600 to change all the interior out. This is from my parts department and they say it could be higher... Ouch...

4. Does the SRT-6 come with good factory wheels that I can have chromed so I can keep my factory look? Nope.. I could switch my current wheels but I diminish the value of the one that will have the SRT-6 wheels and will still have to spend $2,000 for new wheels or $400 to mount balance and swap my wheels to the new one.

By the time I add:
$4,500 Good Paint Job
$1,600 Rigging up some type of retractable spoiler
$3,600 For changing out the interior
$1,000 For whatever wheel decision I would make
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I am at $10,000 plus, just to be able to say I could really fall in love with this car.. I'll stick with the $3,000 to $5,000.00 and drop it with a smile.. Heee... Heeee...

I only envy SRT-6 owners for their power, but as far as looks I think I have you all beat by a mile... Ever seen the look on a womans face as she is in your rearview mirror and you zip by on purpose and get in front of her and her man then come to a stop and press that retractable spoiler? Then you sneak at the smile on her face as she reads "BCHLOR" on your tags, she see's you are attractive, and you can tell she is playing what if scenerios in her head... FUGGING PRICESLESSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL........ I LOVE MY COUPE!!!!! LMAO.... Thanks anyway I know you mean well... Gotta love it... LOL.... I have more heads turning from this car than I did my GS430 or 325 Coupe. Can you say CHICK MAGNET.. LOL....

I have a 04 Crossfire
I got the Needswings intake and ran the car at the track 22 times.
I ran first with the OEM air intake and my best time out of my first 11 runs was 14.9252.
Every other run was in the low 15's with the stock set up.
Then I put on my Needswings CAI and my best time out of another 11 runs was 14.7898.
I ran consistantly in the high 14's with Needswings CAI
Needswings intake does improve preformance.
Also note:
I think Needswings is the only CAI that eliminates the black plastic oem throttle body and connects directly to the intake manifold.
This is the most air a Crossfire can possibly get.
I did a total of 22 runs ,11 with stock and 11 with Needswings.
Needswings is the way to go IMO
