Default New Member questions...

Hello all...I am a new 2005 Crossfire owner. Only 19,000 on the clock. Anyway, I have the convertible with the 3.2 V6 SOHC 18V engine under the hood. Although it is somewhat peppy. I want more. I apologize in advance for asking a question that might have been asked before...But, I did not see anything about 3.2 V6 SOHC 18V mods. Can I chip the car? I do not want to spend $500.00 on upgrades. Can you knowledgeable folks help me out? Thanks!

For 500 bucks.....you're pretty much outta luck on any big gains.

That's the one problem with having a Mercedes powertrain......it costs to play!

Here are your cost effective mods.

CAI: 295.00 +8 RWHP

Underdrive Pulleys: 300.00 +6-8 RWHP

Plugs and Wires: 285.00 +Better Looks and smooter idle, possible HP increase in modified engine

Modified Thermo: 70.00

That's basically it for less then 500.00. If you don't mind some used parts we can get you go fast bits for cheaper. They all work, but for were used for R&D and now just collect dust. Just an example: used CAI 200.00 shipped.

you shuold consider the tvt250 kit.. it is dyno proven to be over 250hp at the crank for somewhere around 1200$ if i remember correctly.. it consists of a CAI, injectors, and a flash tune. for even more gains get a custom tune.. but the tvt 250 kit is probably the biggest bang for your buck IMHO! good luck..

Many thanks to everyone! Yes, I would love to do the tvt250 kit. How do I get someone to install and flash? I am southern Wisconsin.

Also, I need to ask a few more questions if I may...

1.) How do I know if my seats are leather? In the build sheet it says...Leather trim seats? (What is that?)

2.) Are the paint and clear one in the same? (Mixed together?)

Thats all for now.

Thanks again!
