Re: Wish Me Luck
You'll pass if:
1.) you make sure the car is mechanically sound; headlights, wipers, turn signals, etc.
2.) you stay relaxed & confident.
3.) you DO NOT SPEED ANYWHERE!
4.) you can change lanes decently without doing the 'quick weave' just to impress the tester.
5.) you stay relaxed & confident.
6.) you can park your car 'within the lines' & can parallel park OK.
In addition, do not try to hit on any female testers, keep both hands on the wheel & APPEAR RELAXED & CONFIDENT!
Good luck!!

Re: Wish Me Luck
I passed the first time thanks to my older brothers advice.
He told me to get through the test as fast as possible. Just floor it, the instructor will have you back in not time. Tell him, you will keep requesting him until he passes you.
If you get to the parallel parking portion, park blind folded, they will be very impressed.
GOOD LUCK THOUGH, seriously....

Good luck!
When I took my drivers test, the State Trooper got in after running through things like headlights on/off, high beams, wipers, etc, and didn't fasten his seatbelt. I said, "Sir, I'm sorry but I can't start moving until you buckle up." "Oh, its ok, I'm in uniform and this is a closed course", he replied. I insisted and he put the belt on saying, "very well, then". I honestly think I passed it right then and there because I was so nervous that I made at least a few mistakes (including turning the wrong way after a 3 point turn, almost into another tester).
Watch out for little tricks like that. Sometimes they check just to see if you are paying attention.

I PASSED!!!
I drove myself to work, and all I can say is that I can definitely get used to driving alone
The inspector (who was a total *****, by the way) grudgingly admitted that I was a really good driver. My instructor really helped us out before the exam.
I cant drive with anyone in the car besides people with a valid license over 18 or sibling(s). That and no driving between 12:30am and 5:30 am.

Re: Wish Me Luck
Sweet !
Congrats, Bad, you now have a license to kill. Always keep that in the back of your mind.
Sorry, didn't mean to be a downer but it's the exact same thing I told both of my kids when they passed. Old fart wisdom !
Wisconsin has pretty much the same restrictions on "newbies" driving. On the good side though it's not like you can pack the gang in your car & cruise. A gang of one isn't much of a gang!
Also keep in mind that your restricted license gives the cops a reason to be, oh how can I say this..........pricky?! They will definitely be watching you ESPECIALLY if you live in a smaller town. Be cool for however long your license is restricted & you'll be OK.
Now, take a nice long drive somewhere..........
