Default Speeding Crossfire in the News

Nobody likes people who speed through residential neighborhoods.

However, it is generally not the safest thing to step out into the road and yell at the speeder. A Taggart Drive man told police he had done just that to a woman behind the wheel of a red Chrysler Crossfire he felt was driving far in excess of the posted speed limit. A few minutes later, the same car came back down the street, this time with a man behind the wheel, and allegedly tried to run down the man who had yelled. Police went to the residence where the Crossfire was parked, but were unable to get anyone to come to the door and speak with them.

Ha, that reminds me of the time I was behind some old lady doing 35 in a 55! It just irritates the heck out of me. So when the lanes opened up, I flew by her doing 60, which is only 5 mph over. Well when we came to the red light, she opened her window and gave me the third degree! Now is it me or does she have any clue what driving is all about? I kept my cool and said you need to drive near the posted speed limit or use your 4-ways if driving way below it. I just think it's funny because the way she yelled made it look like I was doing over 100 mph! I HATE slow drivers, especially LEFT lane road hogs which Florida has a lot of!

Yea, I know that this is probably a necropost, and for that I apologize, but I am a level 10 necroposter, anyway back to the topic; has the person driving the Crossfire been found/charged.

it would be his words against theres...if there were proof, not answering the door doesn't get it...I am sure there will be a patrol car in that neighbor for awhile...then again, some people like to exagerate their story to get their point across. If I wrote a citation to everyone that disobeys this stop sign in front of my house, my whole neighborhood would hate me...I just point my finger a wave, no Max I said point my finger, not the other....

Max, what????

I live in a neighborhood where everyone has kids, but drive 35-45 mph. On very narrow roadways, with blind curves. But that's OK-it matches the driver's habits! I make it a point to drive less than 25, and slow down when people get on my a$$. The subdivision empties onto US29 and once I get there, I open her up. But NEVER IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD! Too many kids.
