Default Just rock gut - No Premium

Whoa Had to go to Raleigh NC for a couple of days, had to get gas - station had no premium - no big deal still had quarter tank, another day; another station still only rock gut 87 octane; finally had to head home - 70 miles later - still no premium - had to put rock gut in or walk home - only put in 4 gallons

another 30 miles - still no premium - another 4 gallons - cross the North Carolina boarder into VA - TADA! I finally got REAL gas.

Read about the problem - but have now lived it - So what are all of you in NC or Atlanta doing? Feeding your Crossfires moonshine?

Ewww, 87 octane is yuckie! I take premium only for my 300ZX(as per manual). But I read some people on here put the crappy stuff. My understanding is it will work, but it will retard the timing and therefore also lower performance and economy. What about midgrade? And racegas? Fortunatly race gas and premium are in no shortage here.

Guys. Just go to a parts store and buy a few bottles of octane booster. Add a bottle to the full tank of regular. You'll be fine.

And it's not "rot" gut. It's the same gas but with a lower octane rating for lower compression engines.
