Near the small town of Darvaz in Turkmenistan, there lays a crater called by locals “The Door to Hell”. 35 years ago, geologists were drilling for gas. Then suddenly during the drilling they hit an underground cavern. The cavern was so big that the entire drilling site with all the equipment and camps fell in. No one dared to go down there because the cavern was filled with gas. So they ignited it so that no poisonous gas could come out of the hole, and since then it’s been burning continuously for 35 years.
There is a video and end of pics.

Trying to show them how NOT to abuse turbo molecular pumps.
They've read about it. I've been doing it for 25 years.
Case closed. I won.
Sorry again!

Haha, I was hoping it was something I could join the argument on, but alas, I give way to the expert. I don't go into gun fights with a knife, let alone a tiny pebble in my hand that couldn't do any damage.
You win.
P.S. I blame Al Gore for the door to hell. I think he lit in on fire 35 years ago so he could fabricate "global warming".... that, and the internet.
