Cool Crossfire vs. Spouse

Well, My girlfriend and I are out in Palm Springs staying at her well to do sisters mansion. Last night my sweetie called me in to the bedroom to join her between the satin sheets. I told her I was going to stay up for another hour or so and read the posts on the Crossfire Forum. She muttered something about being jealous and went to bed. This morning, when we woke up, I told her that I had a sexy dream about my Crossfire.
We both laughed until we almost died!

Just for the heck of it I thought I would inquire how everyone else's girlfriend, spouse, or significant others handle your love affair with your car. Are they cool, angry, mystified, enthusiastic or ?

Second question: How do you get them to embrace performance driving rather than bitching about it?

Imagine a nav unit from hell. Hog tied, gagged, and in the trunk is the only way to make it stop

I love my car as many of you may already know, but I think I would jump in bead with her first , or do naughty things with her in the crossfire all the time. That way you create a pattern of behavior with her when she's in your Crossfire, and she'll associate the XF with pleasure.

My wife has come to accept the Crossfire and now refers to it as the "mistress".

funny my gf was just bitching when I came across this post I am susposed to be helping pick pictures and hanging picture frames I told her to give me a min while I check the forum. lol no joke she asks what would you do if I fell out of a 5 story window onto your car. I told her I would no questions asked attend to her first in hopes that the car would be totaled anyway. In a month or two I would get enough money from the insurance company to buy another one .... We joke about it back and forth but she seriously thinks I have a problem, I cant tell you how many times I hear her say I would rather you be looking at **** then reading or doing work for that dang car.

happily for me, MrsS spends money cautiously, is a good mother to our kids, an even better grandmother to our grandkids, shares my love of sports, doesn't rag on me about my cigars and tolerates my love of my car other than when I "scare" her by driving too fast for her comfort ...

My wife knows that I have a car problem (17 cars).
I'm lucky that she puts up with me and the cars.
She does understand that the SRT is MY car and she will NEVER drive it! (or my Chevelles or the Cop car or...)

QUOTE

"Sometimes I think you love your XF more then you do me".

I wish you would spend as time polishing me as you do the XF

Will you take me to the store? You can drive the XF! (usually works)

Would you wash my minivan after you clean the XF.(probably not)

my gf used to reach for the oh crap handle and after enough times of realizing that the x/f doesn't have one she just sits there with a smile on her face now. I keep trying to let her drive the car but she's skeered of driving it. She did say that she would go to the tail of the dragon meet in the spring though...I think she's a keeper
