Thumbs up New Exhaust w/ pics and video!

Hey guys!

So just recently I got a Megan Racing M-RS universal muffler put on my car and man do I LOVE IT!

Megan Racing

The one pictured above.

It does have drone, from 2000rpm to 2500rpm. For you guys that want a nice clean sounding exhaust a little on the loud side this exhaust is the way to go! The same day I get the exhaust installed I go on the freeway and get one of these from a guy riding a motorcycle. Pictured below.

Haha just trying to make this thread as fun as I can.

So any way, to the important stuff..

Here is the video! I made, well.. I tried to make a 360 tour around the exhaust, didn't turn out too well.

As well as revving it to 4000rpm and a 1st to 2nd gear run to 55.

YouTube - 2004 Chrysler Crossfire w/ Megan Racing M-RS muffler

Pictured to be posted.

Enjoy!

I'm going to also try to get a video in front of my house that way the sound gets a little more projected. The video really does no justice.

You weren't kidding! It does sound good. That little chirp changing to 2nd sounded nice too.
I'm not too fond of the instal however. It looks a little lopsided.

Yeaa I got to take better pictures. The part of the install I personally don't like is that it's low. The welder said if I wanted to move it anyway he could after the install he would be willing to with no charge. But for right now I'm just enjoying the sound!

If he puts it closer to the bumper it could melt it. I think the height is OK it just looks crooked. Also, it protrudes more that the stock exhaust. If it scrapes that could be why. However, for me the sound is heavenly.

Sounds like the Magnaflow, but a little louder. Also, the Magna has oval tips and sets in a little futher.

Hmmm, that muffler looks familiar....lol! The sound is amazing. I have just never taken the time to record the sound of mine, but that is exactly what I hear. Just wait, after a few hundred miles of drive time, the muffler seems to get even throatier!!

Great sound clip!!

Did you just replace the muffler or did you cut out the resonator also?

Wow, I'm impressed! Sounded great in between shifts! Now I have something to think about when I make my exhaust decision, thanks.

I don't believe there is any hp gain, I actually really don't know. The engine just seems like it's breathing a whole lot better!

2 things:
  1. Sounds really nice-different from the MF. Raspier/Euro sounding. Kinda' neat.
  2. I would try to fit a mesh or expanded metal panel around the base of the tips-the appearance of the mufflers and hangers kinda' takes away from the whole install. Or can it be moved forward a bit? 1 1/2" or 2 "?
Just my opinion, but it would really clean it up! No ding here-just ideas!

Oh that would be nice! Have a black mesh type grill in the space between the muffler and the bumper. Nice idea, I'm going to look into that.
