Default TVT265 CAI Air Box question

Ok, I have done a ton of searching on this, but can't seem to answer my question.

I am going to purchase the TVT265 kit for my 05 Limited 6speed this week from Anthony and his post says it includes: spacers, cai, ecu flash, and injectors. I'm a newb when it comes to under the hood stuff (friend of mine is installing everything for me). What will happen to my stock air box with the CAI? Do I need a different one, am I going to mod it, or will it just be gone?

I really want to be able to fall back to stock one day if I need to, so hence my question. I also want to have everything I need for installation day so we aren't held up because I was an idiot. So if there are any other suggestions on how to prepare for installation day (special tools, fasteners, parts, etc), please let me know.

Magnaflow Catback Exhaust ($390 shipped via these forums and wunderparts) and Sprint Booster ($201 shipped from an ebay auction) are ordered and being shipped. Can't wait.

You keep all your stock parts. Just put them away and save them for when you want to put it back to stock. The box is a simple swap.

I would just suggest to do a dyno on the car stock before you upgrade. That way you can gage what your improvement is after a second dyno, after the mod. I would not do it without a dyno.

Sounds like a plan. Thanks for the quick reply. I'll have to do some research on where and how to get a dyno done. Paypalled Anthony the money last night.

BTW, when I got out of work today, I did the throttle reset thing, and wow, what a difference.
