Tonite I had my srt6 out for a drive and made sure it was in summer mode. In drive I could stand on it and it responded very nice. After about 15 miles I tried taking off again and it ran fine until about 60 mph and then it went flat.felt like the supercharger shut off . Any suggestions? Also would like to know how to hook up test light on supercharger so I could see if it is actualy cutting out when this happens.

 

Sounds like Intercooler pump. Do a search.

 

its probably an intercooler pump failure, they are pretty common. the IC pump quits pumping, the IAT's skyrocket and the pcm see's this, it then turns off the elgagement of the s/c clutch = no boost for you until the IAT's come down.

we have replacement pumps for ~130

I'm willing to bet dollars to donuts it's the IC pump.
Feels like it's surging, correct?

You can either stick with the OEM Bosch pump (& I carry a spare thanks to Needswings above) or go after-market & install a Johnson pump in there. Either way, try this first & let us know if this doesn't solve the issue.

 

thanks for the info I think it is the IC pump also. I have only owned this car since the end of JUNE, 2 of these wks it was in body shop getting front end painted(stone chips) also new windshield.
