Gary had my GO-Video with him, but didn't get to really use, or understand it....they are under $300 and come with several mounts...suction cup, and stick on mounts....it works fine...I just haven't taken the time to upload anything on here....still learning that part...lol...
You can mount regular video recorders on mounts as well...some have remotes which is nice, but they tend to dance or shake just a little....where the go-video is firm and clear....good luck with it...just burn the card when the police stop you.....lol

i looked at the gopro at first but the contour hd1080 has peaked my interest. i just dont know how they view the film after. its like a tube shaped camera with suction cup mount

I know what you are talking about, but don't know anything about them...there are some other small cameras out there as well, that direct download to your laptop, or home computer....just have to find a mount for them...

i have a gopro hd motorsports and it is fantastic, 1080p and with the new firmware update it is amazing. it controls wind noise MUCH better than the contour and i think the vid quality is better too.

it takes 5mp photos and HD video, is super easy to use and has a lot of options you can get for it and some really cool add ons later this year.

i think you would be thrilled for it, I bought mine for $235 shipped new with a warranty from an authorized retailer on ebay.

watch these in HD

do i have to download it to a computer to view it or can i watch it on the camera itself? i do like the gopro from their website and i will need some type of mount able to withstand high speed in excess of 150mph . i want to mount it on the outside of the center top of the windsheild like maxichon did

I have the original Go Pro Hero camera. That suction cup will deform the metal before it lets go! I've had mine up to 130 mph on the roof of my car. I've had it under the front spoiler where it hit the ground a few times and it didn't fall off. (Unfortunately I forgot to turn it on so no evidence) The suction cup mount will handle what ever you throw at it. I don't recommend the old Go Pro, the video and sound are just not good enough. The HD one that Mrphotoman has is light years better than the original that I have. On mine you have to download the movie to a computer, you cant watch it on the camera.

i have had mine 135+mph on the track with no issues and the lower you mount it the better the vids look.

you just plug it in the computer like a thumbdrive and copy the movies over or you can pull out the sd card and use a card reader to copy them over.
