How to re-install the bulb retaining spring
My HID's came with the low voltage wires already installed in the grommet, I thought was good until I realized that the big plug would not pass through the spring when it was mounted in place.
So I took out the spring, but it was hard to put the spring in place with the wires through it.
I decided to cut the low voltage wires and put the spade terminals back on again when I had assembled it as per Max's instructions.
I still had the spring out, and it was a pain to get it in again using a mirror and peering at everything backward.
Bright idea, I thought it would be easier to do it by feel. I put a finger tip of my left hand over the hinge point on the housing and with the spring in my right hand I fed the spring end under my finger tip and fed it into the hinge point. Easily done it slipped right in.
I repeated that for the other end of the spring and it was done in less than fifteen seconds.
I will now do that for the other bulb and I will not have to cut off the terminals.
