painting inside of headlights. need ideas
Im painting the inside of my headlights black to match the car. But I can't decide if I should totally black the lights out or leave some silver, keep in mind my car is ALL black no silver trim dark dark wheels etc.
I am always partial to silver trim, it is all personal preference.
While you have it apart, you need to get a set of 120mm halo/demon eyes installed.

Holy ****, that looks awesome. Are you stilling running halogens for your hi, low, and fog lights? Did you switch those to HID's?
Any way I need ideas on if I should paint the silver bezels black ......lol spray gun is full and my trigger finger is startin to itch!
To both of you, did you just bake your headlights apart or did you end up having to dremel them apart and put them back together with silicon or the like?
You can NOT bake these lights apart the urethane that Valeo uses has a higher melting point then the light housing! If you look at james1549 gallery you can. See they cut the clear lens and then epoxied the parts back together. On mine I cut the top grove off of the housing ( leaving about two inches on the corners) and then cut the urethane, this way I have points to align the lens as well as a half inch around the light to re seal . Some people use epoxy , rtv silicone or butal tape .how ever I suggest using a good urethan like sika for example. Its what Valeo used originally. ( same stuff used to glue in windshields )
