These guys are around Pittsburgh. I sent an e-mail, if they contact me I'll go check it out.
Anyone know anything about these 'green' filters. This induction kit looks like the Piper Cross to me.

I called today. They said that it was a 'one off' kit and that the filters are $240 a piece plus tubing. They said they could work a deal out with me since I am local for around $150 for each plus I'd have to buy tubing at around $50 they said.
He said a kit is coming out in a few months, I may just wait for that.
They didn't have numbers but said it opened up a lot.
Much like Saskins has been saying they removed the 'flat' filters when they put these cone filters on.

That intake system to me is not even worth $100 if they dont replace the air box. There are a few muffler shops that do work with alum. You could probaly have a full custom intake for around $300. If done right it can be good uptoo 4-7 hp .

That's why I'm manufacturing and will be distributing my dual intake, that is custom made for our cars for some where in the ballpark of 500.00. Mine does replace the stock air box, and the Mass Air housing. Greenfilters design, is mine. I talked to those guys about 9 months ago. they said at the time, that they were not interested in doing any R&D. So here we stand 9-10 months later, and they did the very same thing I did a long time ago. THe funny thing is, they'll find out on there own, that that air box is ****, and you need to get those air filters away from that engine as best as you can. That spot is exactly were the engine heat gets trapped.

When I mean Researched and developed...That means every single day that thing has been worked on. Wether that be using different elements, different styles of filters, heat wraps, ceramic coatings, different bends, different Couplers. Any thing and everything that I can do that can possible improve it I did & will continue to do until it is at the absolute top shelf, and can't go any higher.
I will not try to convince you to buy my system, I offer it to anyone, and everyone that it can work for. Even if it can't work for you, I'll work with that person and try to develop something that will work. I like to help people, and I like making thing go faster. I have really enjoyed seeing peoples expressions change, when they finally got to test drive there car w/ the new intakes on there. It starts off the same way every time. Totally judgemental, you know down playing it a lot, really sceptical. Then when its time to rock and roll, every persons answers have been the same, and that is "Holy ****". Thats a cool momment for me, to give someone a thrill who went into the idea with a negative attitude, and comes out smiling. Thats how I know I did my job right.

I dunno what specs they have from that Speedster...when they do concept cars, are they dynoing it too and get the specs of it how much HP it has and how fast it runs? Where do you think we can get this info? I know DC has skunkwerks but they don't have a website yet. Any insider from DC?

Thats not exactly true. I have removed the plastic piece that the tubes from the air box go into. The stock size is about 2 1/2 inches wide after removing this piece it is about
3 3/4 to 4 inches wide. This would even let you run the filter in the grill as opposed to behind it. actualy changing the grill for mesh wont do squat to increase air flow to an intake.

Well, Yes and No. It won't bring in more to your intakes unless customized to be able to scoop in that extra airflow. How ever what it will do is allow more air to travel threw, and around your engine bay. Were the car stands right now, the air flow threw and around the engine/ exhaust maniflod is really minimal. I think that a mesh grill may, or may not help. I think the lower grill would be beatter if they didn't make that solid piece so big. I understand it may be to protect some of your components, but I say cover them internally, and leave the front end open for business.
I myself removed mine ,and HDDP's front port holes as well. And your right, it opened it up to about 4.25" around. It greatly improved for us. I really noticed a responce, I think it has to do with how I made my heat sheild for my filters. I designed it in a way, so it works as scoop, and deflects the heat from thos exhaust maniflods. **** do they get hot. man I have a many scars from burning my arms on them while tying to work on the car.

Thanks man.... that mean's a lot to me. In my opinion there is no comparison. The intakes have made a world of difference. I forget sometimes, well actually all the time, what the stock power feels like. I hear everyone complaining about the power, and I'm like.. well it not that bad to me. I would always, no matter what car I drive, want more HP! I mean I'm a man, that's what every guy wants...or at least he says that he wants. I have gotten some great HP gains out of the Dual system. I can say it blows having a single sided intake out of the water hands down. I built just a regular single sided intake the best that I could. I mean I didn't cut any corners with it. I really wanted to know if you would notice a difference between having Two, & then one. I noticed a difference at the turn of the key. The engine idled a bit higher, it sounded a little more like a rice rocket. (It had a higher tone). When driving it, revved to high. It was like the car was working O.T., and just wasn't getting paid for it.......You know what I mean? It made a lot more noise, but didn't push/pull as hard as it can with the dual. I drove with the single on there for 648 miles. I liked it but it dropped me down a notch from where I once was, so I threw on that dual system, and fell in love with the car all over again.
I have found that the most effective intakes are the ones with the least amount of turbulance. I have my own intake in the car right now. It is a single side with a custom mount for the maf. I had to extend the wire for the maf as it is relocated. Its not very loud at normal driving, but wot it lets you know there is something under the hood. The car feels like it stays in the sweet spot much longer and on the highway at any speed you have that sudden burst of speed. I dont have dyno#s and dont really care because Im not going to sell any but I had fun with the fab and the end result. My car is a lease so I am hesitant to mess with it but the 3.2 has the potential its a quition of time and money.
Hey Roms33 do you have any pictures. I myself also built a single style intake, to be able to compair and contrast. I know exactly what you mean on it staying in the sweet spot a lot longer. Since you have a good idea of how the intake works with our cars. Now you have a single intake set up right! You'll understand when I explain the difference between the single and Duce. You know how the car can just hit the power like it's a freaking rocket. Now with the dual system, the car constantly has that exsplosive power. I noticed with the single set up, it was hit and miss somethimes with the power. Sometimes I wanted or needed that power, and it wasn't there. I thought it would react the same way as the dual, but with a little less punch. It wasn't as powerful or as consistant as the dual.
I'm stoked that I can finally explain what its like when you have the intakes on there, and finally have someone understand exactally what I'm saying. Thank God I feel like a crazy person sometimes, when I'm the only one who really knows how it works, feels, reacts, etc...... Cool man I'm excited.
