Default Yellow Oil/Liquid

there's yellow oil/liquid on the top of my engine cover after i opened the hood. does anyone know what this is? thanks.

it might be new oil, antifreeze, or maybe an oil stain(?) did it wash off? make sure your oil filter is tightened.

yep, i used a rag and wiped it out clean. no stains at all. i even tightened the oil filter again. any other suggestions? it looks like someone took a leak on my engine. :/

Keep the cat out of your garage. *lol*

There's not much yellow liquid that can get on the engine cover. Mostly some kind of oil. Did you fill up oil? Is the cap tightened? Servo or brake liquid container not leaking?

hmm... the words of the oil cap are upside down, i'll open it and retighten it with the words the right face up. i couldn't find anything leaking though. i'll check again today in daylight.

well i tightened everything by hand (all the caps) and cleaned everything up with a rag. drove it the whole day yesterday and nothing leaked... thanks guys, i'll post if this happens again.
