2006 crossfire limited. Does anyone know what this is and if it should be plugged in somewhere please?

 

IF, that is what I think it is:
That is turned up. It normally is turned down. It connects near the EGR valve electrical connector by a small vacuum line about 3 inches long. It may be missing a rubber covering as mine appears larger and rubber when view from the top, it's normal position. It does not appear to attach to anything at the end you are seeing (normally the down pointing end). I'm guessing it is a filter or check valve.
