Default Diff Ratio modifations.

Has anyone thought about modifying the diff ratio in a Xfire. I ask this question as I don't see any reason for my Xfire to be able to 250 kph. I would prefer for it to sprint off the line a little harder instead. Happy to hear what you guys think about this. I'm sure there would be a fabrication place that might take on the job of making one.

Regards
Scott

You must be driving an automatic because on the 6-speed first gear is too short already. Raising the rear diff ratio would pretty much make first gear useless. I actually started a thread about this very subject a while back. You can view it here if you like.

Do a search, I was thinking the same thing but was unable to find a way to do it as Berg Werks is no longer in business and having a set custom made would cost well over $1,500 just for gears...
Let us know if you find out anything new.
Thanks

I went thru the process with Berg Werks and was going to have a 3.85:1 diff. installed by them for $3,000 and when I arrived to have the work done, they had gone out of business... Have not been able to find the same since, except for custom in the range of $5,000
