Does anyone know the difference between the 2002 722.6 (type 220) transmission and the 2003 722.6 (type 203) transmission.

I would assume they are "physically" interchangeable, but what about gear ratios, TCU requirements.

I'm looking at a 2003 trans to replace my 2002 in my SLK32.

Any relevant thoughts?

 

Don't know if this helps, but if you look up the 2002 and the 2003 transmission on RockAuto, you get the same item number ......
