Yes, it is my periodic post to drum up support for Headers.

Anyone making any progress?

Does anyone make them? To make a custom set could be pretty pricey!

No body currently makes them (at least that I am aware of). Hotshot & Hooker (I believe it was hooker) claimed to be working on headers but it has been close to a year since there was any news.

If I was near OC there is a fantastic shop that I would run the car by for an estimate on performance gain & price for custom headers. Unfortunately they are a bit far away.

I did receive an estimate from one place to build custom headers they needed the car for 2 weeks (which is currently tough for me to do) and they estimated $4k for the headers. The shop does a great job on many things I am just not sure that building a set of headers is one of their core competencies.

I'm prompting Super Sprint to develop a straight pipe set with and without cats. Will keep you posted on my progress. I visited them yesterday, while I was in Tyler TX...

Good luck with Super Sprint. I talked with their sales reps at SEMA and they pretty much could not have seen less interested.

That's not the response I got from their US distributor when I visited them yesterday, they immediately sent out an e-mail to the corp. headquarters in Italy to see what they can come-up with... Perhaps I got a bit different response because of the whole Crossfire / SCCA racing thing... It's still that win on Sunday, sell on Monday mentality with them... Although they are really into the BMW / MINI tuner market...

Please tell me $4k is a typo!!! You can score a set of full length headers for a vette for like 1k.
Headers, no kitty's, and a cat back system would only give us a 30 RWHP gain. If that costs 5k > heck I'll start making exhausts kits and sell them for a living!

Custom, one-off headers are not cheap. I wish the $4k price was a typo but that is a big reason I do not have a set.
