Radio Head Unit Prewired?
FPM - I just installed factory NAV in my car, and I read the manual which states that you can add a CD changer to the headunit. I'm not sure how that works, but it says you can... If you find out, let me know.
I'm planning on installing the Phatbox
and it uses the same plug and wire you would normally have for the CD changer. If the wire is preinstalled at the factory, all I have to do is plug-and-play, otherwise I have to run the cable from the head unit to my trunk.
It might be easier if you follow this thread, but think of it as a ipod for your car. You can store all your library of music. The come in 20 -128 GB drives, and software to manage all you music, all controlled by your head unit.

There is no wire running from the factory headunit to rear cargo area for a changer.
The port would be on the back of the head unit.
If you install a CD changer you must run the wire yourself.
Just so you know The changer comes with the wire, not the headunit.
Make sure the one you want is compatible before you buy.

I have installed a Becker 6-Disc changer and ran the cable myself. It fits nicely in the 'first aid recess' under the cargo area. Only 'mod' I had to do was deepen the hole itself and pad it with soft foam.
Running the cable was a chore, but can easily be routed next to the existing wiring along the passenger side floor, out the front of the carpet and then into the dash to the center for the head unit. Make sure you get the 20' or 25' connection cable.
Cheers!
