Navigation Ladies
I was playing around in my Nav option menu and noticed there were a number of language choices. French, Spanish (I think, car is at the dealer for hatch rattle fix), English (GB) and English (USA).
I now have a lovely guide with a proper British accent informing me of upcoming right and left hand "bends"...LOL.
It definitely adds a little class. I get lots of comments from passengers about how dignified my Nav sounds.
On a side note, on the way to the dealer this AM I pulled up alongside an SSB coupe. There was a lot of glare from the sun and the other driver had his left hand up by the side of his face trying to block its rays. As I drove by I beeped the horn and waved. At the next signal he pulled back alongside and with his left hand still blocking his face, waved lightly with his right hand. Thinking about it, I couldn't swear that he was blocking the sun! Maybe he was embarrassed being seen in the Crossfire (or stole it) and didn't want anyone to recognize him...LMAO.

I have a Garmin nüvi 660 and I use the British bloke. However he has some quirks. He will say "Federated States of Micronesia" when it is referring to a Farm to Market road and when it sees a street name with ST at the end it says "Saint" instead of "Street."
The "Sheila" and the Ausie man are too hard for me to understand. Garmin's digital voice for that dialect was just poorly done.
Why can't we purchase celebrity voices like Jack Nicholson, Woody Allen, Marlena Dietrich or Paris Hilton?
That's hot...

If you can get custom ring tones for your phone, why not custom and celebrity voices for your nav?
Think of HAL telling you "...Dave you can't turn here..." or Paris Hilton telling you to "Stop!" (like she could do that) etc. LMAO.
