Default After-market Head unit install-help

I know there have been alot of posting on this subject but wanted to ask anyone for some specific info...I just got a 2006 XF Coupe Limited and want to add XM and iPod capability. Went out and got a Pioneer DEH-P4900iB head unit and a compatible XM unit with associated wire harness and Antenna adapter from Crutchfield. Everything installed great but...no sound...know there is an issue with having enough of an input signal to drive the Infinity power amplifier from the head unit but thought the Pioneer would do it..

Can anyone recommend a Head unit that they have installed directly with the factory amp...an it works...with the factory subwoffers...and no additional wiring...

Does anyone know what the factory amplifier input is ?? (levels)...or the output of the factory head unit ?

Much appreciated...

its the blue wire that comes out of your new Pioneer that has to connect to harness so that when the head unit turns on, it sends voltage down to tell the amp to turn on. reread your scosche harness directions - i forget if its blue or pink...

Works now...sounds good...thanks for the tip. Contacted Cruchfield and let them know that they would get alot less returns if they would note to connect the pink wire instead of saying it is not needed..
