phone intergration
Just had a Parrot CK3000 Evolution installed professionally and apparently they didn't check it to see if it worked before I took the car. When someone calls me I hear them fine, but they can't hear me very well. My wife describes it as lots of static with a chime going off like the seat belt chime and a jet flying overhead. That's what she hears on her end. Weird! I am going to take it back and have them look at it. I did notice that when the phone does ring it does not show up on the radio as the manual states. Anyone have any ideas on what the problem may be. Ever heard of this before? the installer was young, so he may not be very experienced.
Well, we found the problem. There was a mute wire that wasn't needed in the installation and it wasn't taped up or insulated. It was rubbing up against the back of the radio and causing all kinds of static and interference. Clear as a bell now!
I've had the Motorola IHF 1000 and currently have the Parrot CK3000 in my Crossfire. I like the Motorola unit better and when I get the time I will switch back to that one. What I don't like about the Parrot is that the default sound volumes are way to high and I'm tired of going to the settings menu everytime I start the car to bring it down to a reasonable level. For whatever reason. the volume settings will not remain where I set them after I turn off the ignition.
